I am the owner of an exceptionally well-known children’s store; a store that has been in business for more than 50 years and is a much-venerated destination in the very affluent community of Bronxville, NY, which is located 16 miles north of Manhattan in the equally affluent county of Westchester.
The store is Fiersons.
Even in the most objective of assessments, Fiersons is considered a Bronxville institution; an upscale children’s boutique where three generations of women have made their way. Grandmothers who were outfitted almost completely at Fiersons and whose children were then dressed, almost exclusively, at the boutique, now come in to select a special Take-me-Home outfit for the newest addition to the family.
